Welcome to the Austin Tennis Club (ATC)! We are Austin’s premiere LGBTQ+ organization for tennis inclusivity, comradery, and competition while still serving up that social vibe of recreational clubs. Thanks for dropping in!

 

ATC has come an incredibly long way in providing members of our community a safe and affordable, yet competitive option here in the state capital. As President, I implore each and every single visitor, whether you may be temporary or permanent, to come out and join us for a night or two of social gameplay. Who knows - you might find a new tennis haven just like the rest of us have.

 

As an LGBTQ+ organization, we are partnered with the global Gay & Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) which allows us to host our annual Heart of Texas (HOT) Classic every spring. Hundreds if not thousands of players have travelled from all over the world to compete for a shot at winning hardware in our HOT tournament. The state of Texas also hosts it’s own tournament that pits the major cities in a head to head competition. Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio throw their best teams out there in an all out brawl for the bragging rights, glory, and a whole year to hold the coveted Texas Cup! As of ’23-‘24, we are the current reigning champions for 2 years running and are hopeful for the next year!

 

It is with utmost sincerity that I call for all of our members, new, current, and former, to continue to bring life into the sport that we’ve all held near and dear. Without sacrifice, virtue, or integrity, there could not stand to be such an organization like ATC and I hope to uphold the great accomplishments that came before me because of it.
